Die Cutting and Sewing Felt – Custom Pet Plushie

Today I have a bit of a different video for you all. It features die cutting and sewing felt. Recently, Simon Says Stamp came out with some dies specifically for sewing so I’m playing with them today. I took the Plush Happy Bear die set and modified it to create two cats instead. :)
I wanted to the cats to look like my two cats Sophie and Daphne so I used gray felt for the bodies and white felt for the tummies (cut using a die from the Plush Baby Bunny die set). I even used black embroidery floss to create the distinctive stripes on their foreheads…
Naturally, Daphne was curious about the little plushies while I was photographing them. ;)
Silly kitty.
Anyhow, take a look at the video below. You could modify the dies to create different ears for other animals, too. I think some floppy dog ears would be adorable! :)
