DIY Easy Valentine’s Day Card (Minimal supplies required)

Happy Wednesday, all! Today I am creating another card using minimal supplies. This is a simple watercolor card for Valentine’s Day!

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I started by cutting out a heart shape and tracing it lightly with a pencil onto watercolor paper (cut to 8.5″ x 5.5″ and folded in half to create the card base). You could also skip the cutting part and sketch a heart directly onto the watercolor paper. I then wet the area outside of the heart with water and began dropping watercolor paint into the wet area. I concentrated on the area closest to the heart and let the water spread the color.

After letting the watercoloring dry, I sketched the “Happy Valentine’s Day” greeting with a pencil. Using the penciled words as a guide, I wrote the greeting in gray marker and then erased the pencil.

I hope you enjoy today’s card idea! Thanks for stopping by!
