Easy Watercolor Techniques #2: How to add texture with Dry Brush

For my second Easy Watercolor Techniques video I am sharing a dry brush technique. I love how this technique highlights the texture of the watercolor paper (I used Arches cold press watercolor paper here) and is in contrast with the usually soft edges of other watercolor washes.
I used the dry brush technique for the stripe pattern on the edge of the card, as well as the blades of grass popping up behind the bunny and eggs.
Speaking of the bunny and eggs, I used Simon Says Stamp’s Some Bunny stamp set. I stamped the images in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then used the same watercolor set (Mijello Mission Gold) to paint them.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back soon with another easy watercolor technique. :)
