Floral Card – Make a Card Monday #271

Happy Monday, all!

Today I am taking part in a blog hop celebrating Altenew’s new product release! (You might have just arrived from Jennifer McGuire’s blog. Welcome!)

Altenew has some awesome new stamps releasing today and I got to try out a couple. You can see all of the stamps HERE.

The minute I saw the new Vintage Flowers stamp set I knew I had to make a card with it. It’s gorgeous! Like a few of their existing stamp sets, it has multiple images that you stamp on top of each other to get a layered look. The flowers it creates are so beautiful!

NOTE: To see which images group together to make layered flower or leaves, check out the last image in this post at Altenew’s blog. It has outlines grouping images together. This will help you when you use the stamp set.

I used the following ink colors for the flowers and leaves:

I made sure to mask off each flower before moving on to the next bit of stamping. And I also used the masking paper to mask a circle window. I blended Fog ink from the edges of the circle and then stamped the Wood Pallet Background stamp in the same ink. I love how the tone-on-tone inking and stamping looks.

Be sure to watch the video below to see how this card came together. :)
