Morning, all!

We are continuing our study of patterned paper this week for Friday Focus. Last week we talked about choosing patterned papers from a collection. Before we get into this week’s card, here’s a review…

The 3 “rules” of patterned paper (according to Kristina)

  • Large/Medium Pattern + Small + “Solid” = CONTRAST
  • Keep it to only one multicolor pattern.
  • Plan ahead–How will each pattern be used?

Week 2: Choose patterns by color and element

When I’m picking out patterned papers that aren’t from the same collection, I always start with one main pattern (usually the multicolor pattern). From there, I pick coordinating patterns based on the colors in the main pattern, or elements from the main pattern. In this week’s card, I used a patterned paper from BasicGrey as the main pattern. I then used the orange and green colors for two of the patterns (common colors with the main pattern), and a text pattern (common element with the main pattern), to round out the papers.

I also used the Made with Love stamp set from Hero Arts for the sentiment on the card.

Cleaning StazOn off clear stamps

I haven’t had any issues using StazOn cleaner on clear stamps, but apparently it sometimes breaks down the clear polymer of the stamps. Hero Arts make a clear stamp cleaner that will take StazOn off clear stamps safely. You can find it HERE.

Anyhow, on to the video! :)
