Holiday Card Series 2016 – Day 15

Hello, all! Like I mentioned in my video on Monday, this week I am posting my final two videos on Thursday and Saturday. So here we are! Happy Thursday! :)

I can never resist creating a circle card at least once during the Holiday Card Series. And the stamps in Simon Says Stamp’s Merry And Bright stamp set (the one in this year’s December card kit) are perfect for a circle card.

Holiday Card Series 2016 - Day 15

I stamped images from the stamp set on Arches cold pressed watercolor paper, watercolored them with Distress Inks, and then die-cut the scene using a circle die.

The card base was created by first folding some Desert Storm cardstock in half. Then I placed a circle die (one that’s slightly larger than the circle die I used for the watercolor piece) on the folded cardstock with the die hanging off the folded edge a bit. After die cutting, the uncut folded area holds the front and back circles of the card together to create the card base.

I hop you enjoy today’s card! :)
