Happy Saturday, all! Today’s card and video are Day 25 of the Holiday Card Series for 2016. While this is the last official card of the Holiday Card Series, I will still be sharing some holiday cards through Christmas Day. So stay tuned!
For today’s cards–yes, multiple!–I decided to revisit one of the techniques from last year. I loved the watercolor ombré backgrounds from Day 14 that I embossed using Next Level embossing folders. I thought it would be cool to have some snowflakes over the top. :)
I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors for the ombré backgrounds. Then I die cut a bunch of snowflakes using the Penny Black A Blizzard die set.
I ran the watercolor backgrounds through my Big Shot machine with the Geometric Next Level Embossing Folders to give that that awesome texture. Then I adhered the snowflakes and a greeting (stamped on vellum using the greetings in the Cute Snowflakes stamp set from Simon Says Stamp).
To finished off the card, I adhered some 8mm and 5mm sequins from Darice using Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive.
I hope you enjoy today’s video! And I want to say a special thank you to all of you for your support of the Holiday Card Series. It’s one of my most favorite times of the year to create cards. :)
