Hello, all! Today is Day 4 of the Holiday Card Series for 2017. For those who are are new to my blog and videos, the Holiday Card Series consists of 25 holiday card inspiration videos. I’ll be sharing holiday inspiration every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until December 20.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
For Day 4, I thought I would do a bit of colored pencil coloring on dark paper. I love this look! I used some black cardstock from Gina K for my surface. As for the stamps, I used the gingerbread house stamp from Sunny Studio’s Jolly Gingerbread stamp set, and added a greeting from the Jingle All the Way stamp set from Brutus Monroe.
The images were stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed using Alabaster heat embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. Then I colored the scene using Polychromos Colored Pencils from Faber-Castell.
To finish the scene, I blended in a bit of Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink. The snow was added using Simon’s Falling Snow stencil and white pigment ink. I also stamped a small “Merry Everything” stamp from Mama Elephant’s Occasional Labels stamp set and popped it up off the card.
I hope you love today’s card! Thanks for stopping by!
