Holiday Card Series 2018 – Day 12 – Circle Card with Ink Blending

For those who are are new to my blog and videos, the Holiday Card Series consists of 25 holiday card inspiration videos. I’ll be sharing holiday inspiration every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until November 30. Today I created a circle card with Distress Oxide Ink blending and heat embossing.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
To create a circle card base, I scored and folded a piece of white cardstock. Then I placed a circle die on the cardstock, making a note to overhang the die off the folded edge. Then I ran it through my Big Shot die cutting machine.
For the main area of the card, I used a slightly smaller circle die to cut a white circle. I blended four color of Distress Oxide Ink onto the circle: Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.
After allowing the ink blending to dry completely, I stamped the greeting and snowflakes from Pink and Main’s Flurries stamp set in VersaMark Ink. I coated the stamped images with white embossing powder and then heated the powder until melted.
To finish off the card, I adhered 8mm and 5mm Crystal sequins from Darice. I also added a dashed line with a white gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by today!
