Holiday Card Series 2018 – Day 9 – Glitter Paste & Die Cut Letters

For those who are are new to my blog and videos, the Holiday Card Series consists of 25 holiday card inspiration videos. I’ll be sharing holiday inspiration every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until November 30. Today’s card features glitter paste, a stencil, and die cut letters. :)
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
The first thing I did when starting this card, was create a glittery pattern of stars using the Falling Stars Layering Stencil from Tim Holtz and two colors of glitter embossing paste. I used Ruby Red Glitter Paste from BoBunny (a close equivalent is Garnet Glimmer Paste from Nuvo) and Golden Crystal Glimmer Paste from Nuvo.
After letting the glitter paste dry completely, I diecut my greeting from two CZ Design die sets: Everett Solid Letters dies, and the Merry dies. I die cut the main “merry” and the letters for “Christmas” out of white cardstock. For the shadow behind “merry,” I used vellum.
I used thin foam tape strips to adhere the greeting. I also cut a narrow strip of Cherry Red cardstock for the bottom edge of the design.
NOTE: The card has a finished size of 9″ x 3.5″ and fits inside a standard #10 business envelope.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back on Friday for Day 10 of the Holiday Card Series. :)
