Hello, all! Today is Day 12 of this year’s Holiday Card Series. For today’s card, I wanted to try out another faux dip dye background using watercolors! And the greetings from Simon’s Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set were perfect to go over the top of the watercoloring.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I started out by tearing the bottom edge of some Arches cold press watercolor paper. The I tape the sides and top of the paper to a hardboard and starting painting with my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I concentrated the darker shades at the bottom of the paper.
Once dry, I stamped and white heat embossed the “Merry and Bright” greeting and the snowflakes from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set.

To finish off the card, I adhered 8mm and 5mm Crystal sequins from Darice.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back on Friday with Day 13 of the Holiday Card Series. :)
