Holiday Card Series 2019 – Day 2 – Simple Masked Ink Blending

NOTE: This is the second of two posts today. Click here for the Altenew Metallic Watercolor Pan Set Blog Hop! :)
Happy Monday, all! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Holiday Card Series! Today I created a simple card design using Concord & 9th’s Silent Night stamp set. This little stamp set is so versatile! There are so many different things you can do with all the different elements in the set.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I started out by masking off the outer edges of some white cardstock with 1-inch wide Post-It Tape. I ink blended using blender brushes and four colors of Distress Oxide Ink: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.

Then I stamped the greeting and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. For the cradle and stars I used gold embossing powder. To finish off the stars, and to add some dots, I used a gold gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back on Wednesday with Day 3!
