Holiday Card Series – Day 21
I can’t believe we’re at Day 21 of the Holiday Card Series! The time has just flown by, hasn’t it?
For today’s card, I wanted to use a stamp from Art Impressions that I just adore. This cute Santa with kitty image from the Dreaming Mini Shaker set just makes my heart smile. :)
I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed the image using clear embossing powder from Ranger. I embossed the image for two reasons. First, because I’m impatient and I didn’t want to wait for the pigment ink to dry. And also because the raised embossed lines will help contain the watercolor as I paint the image.
I painted Santa and the kitty with Mijello Mission Gold watercolors and then diecut the image using the die that comes in the set.
To finish the scene, I diecut a window and ink blended a sky to go behind it. The snowflakes were added using a white gel pen.
