How to Create Two-Tone Multicolor Pigment Stamping + Masking

Happy Wednesday, all! Today I am playing with the Orange You Sweet stamp set from Concord & 9th. I adore the “Kiwi hang out soon?” greeting in the stamp set and just had to create a card with it. :)

I started out by die cutting the Thank You Heart die from Simon Says Stamp out of some masking paper. I used just the solid heart die. I placed the heart mask on the card front and then did a bunch of stamping.

To create the two-tones of green on the kiwis, I first inked up the solid circle stamp using Pear Tart Memento Luxe ink and then applied the Olive Grove Memento Luxe ink to just the edges of the stamp by “rocking and rolling” the stamp so only the edge touched the ink pad.

NOTE: No need to worry about contaminating your ink pad with a different color. You can clean up the ink pad by swiping it on some paper or by dabbing it with a paper towel.

I used a Mini Round Blending Tool to bring in a bit of color around the edges of the heart shape were to ensure a complete heart shape. I then stamped the black outline and centers of the kiwi using Tuxedo Black Memento Luxe ink.

After removing the mask (my favorite part!), I stamped and embossed the greeting in Hero Arts white embossing powder on Licorice Twist black cardstock. I adhered the narrow strip to the card using foam tape.

I hope you enjoy today’s video! Thanks for stopping by!
