Layered Watercolor with Karin Markers (NEW Stamps from Simon!)

Hello, all! Simon Says Stamp’s latest release, Sunny Days Ahead, just went live! There are so many new products now available! SEE THEM ALL HERE.
Note: The Simon warehouse was just been cleared by the Ohio Health Department earlier this week to resume shipping. There are additional safety measures in place. Please expect slower shipping times.
For my card, I used the new Luck and Hugs stamp set and dies for some fun layered watercolor using Karin watercolor markers. The stamps and dies are also available as a set.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I stamped the large “hugs” image from the Luck and Hugs stamp set on Bristol paper multiple times using black waterproof ink. Then I scribbled over the top using various colors of Karin Brushmarker Pro markers. I spread the color out using a wet watercolor brush and then dried the first layer of color.
To make the letters stand out, I then added color using the markers and painted most of the letters.

To finish off the card, I stamped the same “hugs” greeting and white heat embossed it on vellum. Then I ran it through a Xyron Creative Station Lite to apply adhesive to the entire surface of the back of the vellum. I pressed it onto another sheet to vellum to essentially double up. Then I die cut it using the coordinating Luck and Hugs dies.
Thanks for stopping by today! You can shop the entire new release from Simon HERE.
