Hi, all!

A few weeks ago I did a card and video for the Hero Arts Blog showing faux metal. I’ve been wanting to show the same technique on my YouTube channel, so I decided today’s Make a Card Monday would be the perfect time. :)

Anyhow, it’s super simple and doesn’t require a ton of supplies. Just a stamp, VersaMark Ink, silver embossing powder, and a heat tool. I go over all the steps in the video.

Enjoy!

Clean & Simple Card Making

We have a new class over at OnlineCardClasses.com that starts in a few weeks. The class is Clean & Simple Card Making and it’s going to be awesome. As we gear up to teach the class, we’ve been receiving the guest artists’ cards in our email inboxes and let me tell you, the cards are amazing! I’ll be doing some videos and cards along with the other teachers, Jennifer McGuire and Julie Ebersole. It will be a great class! Here’s a description:

In this class we aim to take the mystery out of creating a minimalist card that looks “complete,” and wow you with numerous tips and techniques for clean and simple cards!  This upbeat and inspirational class will include nine fabulous guest artists, discounts to our favorite retailers, giveaways and a few surprises along the way!  Clean and Simple Card Making will feature over 25 new card ideas and over 15 instructional videos.  What better way to start the new year than with a wealth of new ideas to add to your card making arsenal and simplify your creations!

Class is January 9-23, 2012, but class materials (videos, pdfs, etc.) will be accessible for a lifetime. Click HERE for an introduction video and more info!
