MACM – Miss You!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and wonderful Easter if you celebrate it. It was bright and sunny here and so wonderful to just be outside for a little bit. :)
Anyhow, I have a quick card for ya this week. At least, on your end as the video watcher it’s quick. For me, it took about 35 minutes to make this card. And I even started with a sketch! That’s on the longer end for me. If I have a sketch of a card to begin with, usually I’m done in no longer than 15 minutes, but for some reason, although this card is quite simple, it took me a long time. Oh, well!
I broke out that Making Memories Just Chillin’ 6×6 pad again for the paper on this card, and once again used Papertrey Ink’s Aqua Mist card stock for the card base. I paired it with PTI’s satin ribbon in the same color, and then some red card stock from American Crafts’ Valentine’s card stock (yes, I’m still trying to get through all whole pack–it’s HUGE!).
I really wanted a scallop frame, but needed it to be larger than the SU! scallop circle punch that I have. That’s when I remembered that there was a scallop circle in my Card Shapes Designer Cuts! So, I sized the scallop down and drew a circle inside so that when I cut it with my Silhouette it was the perfect size to frame the wood grain circle stamp. Pretty slick! I’m still figuring out how to incorporate my cutting machine into cardmaking, so I was actually quite proud of myself. Silly, I know, but whatever… :)
So enjoy the video and I’ll catch ya’ll later!
