Mail Art & Lettering – Masking, Blending, and Copics – Make a Card Monday #288

Happy Monday, all! Today I created an envelope for my #mailartrainbow! I used some fun stamps from Ink Blot Shop to stamp art supplies and then colored them in!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

Before stamping on the white envelope, I crated a “stamp map” that helped be figure out placement of all the different elements. I used this map for getting all the images in just the right spot.
I stamped the images from the Arts & Crafts Icons stamp set in black Copic-friendly ink, making sure to mask off each image so that I could make them visually look like they were in front of each other.
Copic markers were used for the coloring, and ink blending was done with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink and the Large Dots stencil from Simon Says Stamp.
I finished off the envelope with vintage postage stamps, and the mailing address.
NOTE: Mailing address used with permission. Thanks, Carol! To submit your address for use on future mail art envelopes, please fill out this form. There is a new form each month to keep addresses current.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll see you soon for another video! :)
