Martha Stewart Pop-Up Frosty Village Card 1

Hi all! Last week I had the opportunity to create two cards for Simon Says Stamp using the Martha Stewart Crafts Pop-Up Frosty Village punch–each showing a different way to use it.

This punch is a bit perplexing. I had to brainstorm a bit to figure out I would use it. There is a similar Martha Stewart Crafts edge punch that gives you the row of buildings, but this punch is unique in that it gives you additional house and trees. Plus you can vary the placement of them.

After some experimentation (some successful, some not–LOL!), I came up with the idea of cutting the three sections apart to create a layered scene. The bottom section is adhered with two layers of foam adhesive, the middle section has just one, and the top section is glued straight to the card with Tombow Mono Multi Glue.

I think this would be a great card to mass produce because the supplies are minimal and with the aid of the punch, the main element of the card is quick and easy.

NOTE: I am out of town this weekend for work, so unfortunately I will have to postpone the new Friday Focus video that was supposed to go up today. I know, I know. It’s been weeks since the last Friday Focus. Can’t be helped. So today I’ll show the first card I made, and tomorrow I’ll show the second card I made with this punch.

Anyhow, here’s the first card.
