Masked, Blended, & Stamped Background with Distress Oxide Inks
Hello, all! Today I have a card for you featuring a masked, blended, and stamped background using Distress Oxide inks. This is also a blog hop post for Mama Elephant’s Summer Release (see the entire release below), so I’m using a new stamp set along side an older Mama Elephant stamp set. :)
To create the background, I used a strip of wide Post-It tape to mask horizontal stripes and blend different colors of Distress Oxide ink. After the blending, I used Mama Elephant’s Boutique Borders stamp set to add dots, stripes, and a a scallop border. I stamped using the same Distress Oxide inks plus some Simon Says Stamp White Pigment ink (although, that one didn’t show up too much).
The three little girls are from Mama Elephant’s Little Girl Agenda stamp set (there is also a Little Boy Agenda stamp set). The small images are sized perfectly for stamping in a planner or agenda, but I decided to group them together for my card. I stamped them in Smokey Gray Versafine ink and colored them with Prismacolor Colored Pencils.
To make the Script Friend die cut from Mama Elephant stand out more, I die cut it four times and stacked them together.
