Monochromatic Watercolored Envelope – Monthly Mail Art (Simon Says Stamp)

NOTE: This post is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.
Hello, all! I’m back with another Monthly Mail Art! This month I created a monochromatic envelope design using the Even More Spring Flowers stamp set!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
I started out the design by drawing a large banner shape by hand on Bristol Smooth paper and protecting the area with masking paper. Then I stamped flowers and leaves from the Even More Spring Flowers stamp set around the banner. After removing the masking paper, I was left with a banner shape in the middle of flowers.
To watercolor the envelope, I used only one Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker in the color black. I wanted the colorful postage stamps to stand out, so I kept the stamped area monochromatic.
I trimmed down the watercolored piece to the exact size of a black envelope and then adhered it to the envelope. To protect the design, I applied Distress Micro Glaze.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Thanks for stopping by!
