No-Line Distress Watercoloring + Simon Says Stamp Hop To It Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I am taking part in a blog hop for Simon Says Stamp’s Hop To It release! Simon has lots of fun new stamps, dies, and stencils and you can see them all HERE. I’ve also added all the products that I designed for the release to my Stamps, Dies, and Stencils page.

For the hop today I have two–YES, TWO!–videos. :)

First, I played with one of the stamp sets that I illustrated called Slumber Party

I used a greeting from a different stamp set (Abby’s Spring Showers) since it said “Bear Hugz,” and white embossed it on vellum.

The little girl was stamped in Archival French Ultramarine ink on Strathmore watercolor paper and then watercolored with Distress Inks and Markers.

The background was made with Distress Inks, with the grid pattern added by “stamping” the Grid Stencil in Picket Fence Distress Paint.

After painting the little girl once, I just couldn’t put it away! I decided to paint her again but change the bear to a cat. :)

I also have a video for that process…
