No-Line Watercoloring Shaker Card

Happy Wednesday, all!
Today I have a card for you that has haunted me for weeks! I’ve had this card in my head for quite a while and attempted to make it multiple times. I finally created a version that I like and can now breathe a sigh of relief. :)
The card idea started with the Shooting Star stamp set from Mama Elephant, and then I thought it would be fun to make it a shaker card…
I colored the stamped girl with the no-line watercoloring technique and Distress Inks. The background was stamped and heat embossed using the Falling Stars background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. The embossed stars resisted the watercoloring, leaving behind white stars.
After everything was watercolored, I die cut three stars using the Stars dies from Paper Smooches and made it into a shaker card. Be sure to watch the video below for details on creating the shaker area.
I hope you enjoy today’s video! :)
