No-Line Watercoloring with Altenew Flower Stamps

Hello, all!
Today I am taking part in a blog hop celebrating Altenew‘s 2nd Anniversary! Altenew has become known for their amazing floral stamp sets so I thought I would create a card today using the Peony Bouquet stamp set.
I stamped the flowers and leaves in Antique Linen Distress Ink so that I could do the no-line watercoloring technique. Essentially this means that as I painted the flowers and leaves, the pale ink seemed to fade into the background, leaving a “no-line” look. It’s a technique that can be a bit daunting at first, but looks awesome!
The watercolors I used are the Mijello Mission Gold watercolors that I used a while back. I’m still loving these watercolors! I highly recommend them.
For the greeting, I grabbed a sentiment stamp from another Altenew floral stamp set called Beautiful Day. Both stamp sets have the most beautiful flowers. You can do layers of stamping with them to get realistic flowers, or you can use the outline stamps like I did.
