Hello, all! Happy Friday! Today I have both a card and envelope for you! This card and envelope set uses the new Spring Flowers 4 stamp set from Simon Says Stamp’s latest release. In fact, this blog post is part of a blog hop celebrating the release! YOU CAN SEE THE RELEASE HERE!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
For both the card and envelope, I created an easy ombré background in Bristol paper by scribbling wide stripes of color with Karin Brushmarker Pro markers and then sweeping a wet watercolor brush over them side to side. This is such an easy way to create an awesome ombré gradient!
For the card, I accentuated the flower by applying water and then picking up some of the color with a paper towel.
NOTE: Address used with permission. Thanks, Jennifer! To submit your address for use on future mail art envelopes, please fill out this form. There is a new form each month to keep addresses current.
Sunny Days Ahead Blog Hop
Like I mentioned above, this is a blog hop post for Simon’s Sunny Days Ahead release. You can see the entire release in their shop. Speaking of, there is a special code to use while shopping to get a free ink pad…
Get commenting! Simon is also giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from the blog comment sections. Simon will choose the winners over the weekend and post on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday, the 29th of April. Winners can email Simon to claim his/her prize (follow instructions in the winners blog post).
Your next stop on the blog hop is Cathy Zielske!
