One-Layer Card with Fingerprint Animals

Happy Friday! Today I’m playing with a new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp’s One of a Kind release. There are lots of fun new products in the release, but I’m only playing with one of them: the Fingerprint Doodles stamp set. I had a ton of fun illustrating this stamp set so I’ve been itching to create a card with it. You can see the entire One of a Kind release in the Simon shop. :)

First I used a Post-It note to trace a square onto the front of a card made from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. The I stamped a bunch of fingerprints from the Fingerprint Doodles stamp set using five different colors of ink from Simon Says Stamp: Smoke, Sunshine, Hollyhock, Jellybean, and Wisteria.

After all the stamping was dry, I stamped the greeting and the animal shapes over the top of the fingerprints using VersaMark ink. I added some Hero Arts white embossing powder on top, shook of the excess, and heat set the powder.

Once the stamping was complete, I placed the Post-It back on top of the area and used it as a mask to blend some White Pigment ink from Simon Says Stamp around the nine animals.
