One Stamp Set, One Card – Neat & Tangled 5th Birthday Blog Hop

Happy Friday, all! Today I am taking part in a week-long blog hop celebrating Neat & Tangled’s 5th birthday! The latest Neat & Tangled release includes this cute handwritten Hooray stamp set. I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to use only the small stamp set, plus inks, to create a card. :)

First I planned out my card, so I knew I wanted to have a colorful strip of inked cardstock along one edge. I used six Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to blend a rainbow the edge of some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Broken China, and Wilted Violet. I cut a narrow strip and set it aside.

For the main area of the card, I stamped the large “Hooray” in Versafine Onyx Black ink using a MISTI stamp positioning tool. I then stamped the smaller greeting from the stamp set, “It’s your day!” in the same Distress Oxide ink colors, repeating the stamped image vertically.

To finish off the card, I used some of Neat & Tangled’s Like Magic sequins.

Hope you enjoy the video!
