Painting with Gouache – Mail Art – Make a Card Monday #283

Happy Monday, all! Today I created a mail art envelope using the Daisy Bouquet stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and painted the flowers with gouache. Gouache is almost like opaque watercolors, so it’s perfect for painting over this green envelope from Paper Source.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I stamped the flowers from the Daisy Bouquet stamp set in Antique Linen Distress Ink on a Clover A7 envelope from Paper Source, and then painted the flowers with the gouache paints. I made sure to not water down the paints to much, as to not overwhelm the paper of the envelope (since it wasn’t watercolor paper).
I hand lettered Jessica’s address using a white Gelly Roll pen.
NOTE: Address used with permission. Thanks, Jessica!

The card was created by stamping one of the daisy images in black ink on Neenah Environment Desert Storm cardstock, and then colored in using Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils.
Thanks for stopping by today! You can check out more of my mail art at my Instagram. :)
