Rainbow Stamping with Dye Inks

Happy Monday, all! Today I have some fun rainbow stamping for you! I thought the new Enveloper Hello stamp set from Waffle Flower would be perfect for this technique.

Also, can I just say I love this stamp set and all the others from Waffle Flower that feature illustrations from Helen Dardik? I’ve followed her work on Instagram for quite some time and was pleasantly surprised to see her stamps with Waffle Flower! I love her whimsical style…

Rainbow stamping starts out with awesome ink colors. I used six colors for the transition from color to color. They are all inks from Waffle Flower: Happy Go Lucky (orchid), Daydreaming (blue), Chirp! Chirp! (green), You Said What? (yellow), Oh Happy Day (orange), and My Pleasure (coral/rose red). I also used Like a Pro! (gray) for the “Hello” sentiment stamp.

To get a transition between colors I stamped each segment of color multiple times using a MISTI stamping tool and made sure to dab off a bit of color with a paper towel before stamping. See the video below for more instruction.
