Happy Monday, all!
Remember when I told you all that I created a card to share with you and then discovered the stamp set I used was sold out everywhere? It was a couple weeks ago. The stamp set is back in stock! So today I’m sharing a card with you that features the Magical Friends stamp set from The Greeting Farm.
There seems to be a unicorn frenzy happening within the paper crafting community. And I’m totally okay with that! :) In fact, my mom made me a unicorn for Valentine’s Day. Meet Buttercup…
That’s my American Shorthair cat Sophie sitting next to Buttercup. Needless to say, I’m completely on board with the unicorn trend.
NOTE: The FREE crocheted unicorn pattern can be found here. That’s the pattern my mom used.
Anyhow, back to card making. :)
For my card, I used a light blue ink, Lake Shores by Simon Says Stamp, to stamp the unicorn and her horse friend, and then watercolored with Distress Inks. I used a no-line coloring technique for this. That means that I purposely used a lighter shade of ink to stamp the images so that the lines aren’t as visible after coloring the image.
I also masked off the cloud shape before I started painting. For more details on that, please watch the video below.
I hope you enjoy today’s card and video!
