Shadows & Shading – My favorite tip to make it easier

Happy Friday, all! Over the past few weeks I’ve been answering your questions in videos. Today’s video focuses on another question that came up at Facebook: What are some tips for shading when coloring images?
One of my favorite tips for shading is to do a “shadow study” before you actually start coloring the image on your final project. This gives you time to really think about how it will be shaded. I showed this technique a while back in a video for Simon Says Stamp. Wow! Was it really 6 years ago? Time files!
I used Sugarpea Designs Chunky Monkey stamp set for this card. Isn’t that little guy so cute? I just love him! :) The watercoloring was done using Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy today’s video.
