NOTE: Today’s Color Wednesday video will be up tonight. I’m leaving this post at the top of my blog until then.

Hi all! Today I am taking part in the Simon Says Stamp Early Spring Release Blog Hop! If this isn’t your first stop on the hop, you might have come from Debby Hughes’ blog (adore her!)

With the exception of the Kelly Purkey stamps, I worked on all the products in this release. So I’m SUPER excited to see what the awesome card designers participating in the blog hop have up their sleeves. :) You can see more stamps and dies I’ve designed HERE.

Here are all the products in this release…

I decided to use the Circle Friends stamp set on my card. Since I stamped the hexagon pattern circle in Hero Arts Butter Bar ink and wanted the bee to match, I smushed the ink pad on an acrylic block and picked up the ink with a Dove Blender Pen. For the black of the bee, I used a black Inktense pencil with a bit of water on a watercolor brush.

The embossed texture is from the Tim Holtz Honeycomb embossing folder. I put the white cardstock only partially into the embossing folder so the bottom portion wouldn’t be embossed and I could stamp on it. I like how the edge of the embossing created a clean line above the stamping.

The black with white dots paper is from the Love Story 6×6 pad by Echo Park.
