Soft Watercolor with Heat Embossed Flowers

Happy Friday, everyone!
Today I am playing with a new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp’s latest release. The Spring Flowers stamp set is one that I designed for the release and I was so excited to ink it up and use the images in the way I was envisioning while I was illustrating them for the first time.
I painted an under-layer of color before stamping the flowers and leaves, and then heat embossed the stamped images to create a stark white outline of flowers. This helped me be able to see the white flowers while I painted them, as opposed to having the white outlines on just white watercolor paper.
I hope you enjoy the video! :)

Reason to Smile Blog Hop
Today’s blog post is part of the Reason to Smile Blog Hop from Simon Says Stamp. As you hop along to each participating blog, be sure to leave a comment. Simon will be drawing a winner on each stop of the hop for a prize package valued at approximately $50. The winners will be drawn this coming Tuesday, February 23, and announced on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
Get Hopping!
Your next stop on the hop is my good friend Kathy! If for any reason you come across a dead end on the hop, please return back to the beginning.
