Using digital templates

Hi all!

I’ve recently been using (and creating) digital templates. Previous to just a few weeks ago, I never had explored them or had the inclination to. But they’re pretty sweet! Once I started into it, I realized it was a way to digitally create a paper pieced look. And let me tell you, it’s so SO much easier to “paper piece” digitally than to do it with actual paper. I do love the look of paper though. Remember this layout?

And for those of you who are just starting out with digital scrapbooking, templates are a great way to go. On the “here’s a finished page, just put photos on it” to “all original” spectrum, templates are somewhere in the middle. The basic groundwork is done for you, but you get to use whatever digital papers you’d like.

Anyhow, so I created this page yesterday to go along with the video below. You can see this video (plus a ton more videos) in the BGTV section at basicgrey.com. There are a few more templates at the site as well.

BTW, TwoPeas has a TON of digital templates also. Click here to see them!
