Watercolor Painting with Distress Reinkers

NOTE: This post is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!
For this card, I wanted to do some watercolor painting with Distress Reinkers. I love how concentrated and vibrant the colors are, especially Candied Apple since some red watercolor can fade back to a pink (this one doesn’t!)
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
I chose the Delicate Outline Flowers Background stamp and stamped it on watercolor paper in waterproof black ink. Then I started painting with four Distress colors: Candied Apple, Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, and Weathered Wood.

Be sure to watch the video above to see how the painting was completed.

To finish off the card, I used the A2 Thin Frames die set to cut down the watercolor panel, and to create a thin gold frame (out of matte gold cardstock). The greeting was cut using the Thanks Frame dies.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
