Watercolor Peonies Card & Envelope – Make a Card Monday #277

Hello, all! Happy Monday! Do you remember my old Make a Card Monday series? Let’s bring it back! :) This morning I made a simple watercolor card and an envelope using the Peonies in Bloom stamp set and coordinating dies from Mama Elephant.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I used 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper for the envelope since it’s a bit lighter and easier to fold into an envelope (I used the 1-2-3 Punch Board to fold the envelope). And the card was made using Arches Cold Press Watercolor paper.
All of the flowers from the Peonies in Bloom stamp set on both the envelope and card were stamped using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed. This made it super easy to watercolor since the embossing resisted the watercolor paint.

I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors for all the painting, and then diecut the large peony and leaves for the card using the Peonies in Bloom dies.
The greeting on the card was stamped using Acorn Versafine Clair ink and the Sending Hugs stamp set from Mama Elephant.
And that’s pretty much the card and envelope! Thanks so much for stopping by!
