Happy Wednesday, all! Today I have a watercolored card using the Poppy Blossoms stamp set from Picket Fence, as well as a hand lettered envelope. This card was so fun to paint! And hopefully the walkthrough during the video will give you an idea of how I painted the poppies.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I started by drawing a thin lined border 3/4″ inch from the edge of a 5×7 piece of watercolor paper. I did this so I could place the poppy image in the center. Then I stamped and gold heat embossed the bouquet of poppies from the stamp set.

For the gold embossed border, I used a VersaMarker and then applied gold embossing powder.
The flowers were painted using Mijello Mission Gold watercolor paints. Be sure to watch the video above to see the painting process.

I also created a red envelope to go along with the card. I used FineTec metallic watercolors to brush letter Nancy’s address on the envelope.
NOTE: Address used with permission. Thanks, Nancy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
