Watercolor Winter Scene – Neat & Tangled STAMPtember stamps

Hello, all! I have another card made with a new STAMPtember collaboration stamp set for you today. For today’s card, I used Neat & Tangled’s Holiday Helpers stamp set to create a scene with a watercolored forest background. Since this is a STAMPtember collaboration set, there are limited quantities of both the stamp set and stamp set and coordinating dies combo. If you’re thinking about picking up this stamp set, I suggest you do it sooner rather than later. :)
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
After masking and stamping the scene with the Holiday Helpers stamps, I applied masking fluid over the images to protect them while I painted the background. I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors to paint a forest background. I think the key to painting forests like this is to create a layered look by painting some lighter trees, letting them dry, and then painting darker trees over the top. This gives the forest “depth.”
I hope you enjoy today’s video. It’s a longer one, but I didn’t want to cut out too much. Thanks for stopping by!
