Watercoloring a Masculine Card, Trying out new watercolors (Mijello Mission Gold)

Hello, all!

Today I’m playing with the new Hipster Animals stamp set from Hero Arts, and I’m turning it into a masculine card. Many of you ask for more masculine cards, and these animals were so quirky I couldn’t resist using them on a card. :)

This is a super watercolor-heavy card. Just a bit of stamping, and lots of painting. I wanted to test out some new watercolors that I bought last week. I found the Mijello Mission Gold watercolors (with a palette!) at Amazon for a screaming deal and couldn’t pass them up. (Sadly, the price on the set I bought has more than doubled, but you can get a 34 color set for a reasonable price. You’ll just have to purchase a palette separately. I’d recommend this palette).

I wasn’t too sure about the watercolor painting at first, but in the end, I love how it turned out!

To finish off the card, I stamped and embossed a greeting from the Many Everyday Messages stamp set, another new stamp set.
