Yes, it can be done & it’s easy! Stamping with metallic watercolors!

For card #6 in my Capsule Papercrafting Challenge, I’m trying out stamping with the Altenew Metallic Watercolors on black watercolor paper–which, spoiler!–turned out awesome!

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I used the now discontinued You Matter stamp set from Concord & 9th for my metallic watercolor stamping (this stamp set has a similar image), but you could use any stamp image with a solid surface area. Or even flip a bigger stamp over and use the back!

The more fluid the watercolor, the more it will move when stamped. So if you want a bit more control, your watercolor paint should be a bit more paint than water.

I finished off my card with a white heat embossed greeting from CZ Design’s Hello You stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! Please tune in on Friday at 12noon for a live chat with cardmaking! I’ll be creating another Capsule card! You can catch the livestream at my YouTube channel.
