Capsule Card 9 – Watercolored Critters

Hello, everyone! Here we are at my ninth Capsule card! I’ll have time for card ten to round out the month’s challenge, so stay tuned on Friday for my final card. For today’s card, I combined some ink blending, heat embossed stenciling, and watercoloring two cute foxes from Reverse Confetti’s Huggable stamp set.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I started out by creating a row of white hearts on black cardstock by pressing a VersaMark ink pad through the Reverse Hearts stencil from Simon Says Stamp. Then I applied white embossing powder and heat set it. I cut the row down to a narrow strip.
The background was created by ink blending Gina K Design’s Sandy Beach ink over the Stained Glass stencil from Honey Bee.
The two cute critters are from the Huggable stamp set by Reverse Confetti. I stamped them in waterproof black ink on watercolor paper and then painted them using American Crafts Paper Fashion watercolors, and added a bit of shading with colored pencils.
To finish off the card, I added a stamped sentiment from Mama Elephant’s Occasional Labels stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by today!
