Monthly Mail Art – STAMPtember® Exclusive Stamps from Altenew

Morning, all! Today I have another Monthly Mail Art video for you. This one will only be appearing at my blog this month (since the Simon Says Stamp blog is bursting with STAMPtember goodness). I didn’t want to miss out on designing a new envelope. And since Altenew’s STAMPtember exclusive stamp set, Fabulous You, just came out yesterday, I thought it would be the perfect stamp set to use.
(Wondering what I used on this card? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
After creating this envelope, I would have changed the order of a few things. First, I would have painted the envelope with the black Bombay Ink first. Then I would have stamped and gold embossed the large floral image from the Fabulous You stamp set. That way, the gold embossing would be at it’s brightest.
I used Kuretake Zig’s Gansi Tambi Starry Night palette to paint pearlescent gold watercolor over the flowers. I also splattered some of the gold paint (although I think I would skip this step if I recreate this envelope in the future).
To address the envelope, I used more of the same gold watercolor paint and wrote Ashley’s name and address using an oblique pen holder from InkMeThis.
NOTE: The address on the envelope is used with permission. Thanks, Ashley!
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed today’s video. Thanks for stopping by!
