Quick & Easy Watercolor Brushstroke Card & Envelope

Happy Monday, all! Today I have a fun and colorful watercolor card for you. I’ve always loved the look of carefree brushstrokes, so I created a rainbow-esque birthday card. :)

I used Fabriano Artistico Extra White watercolor paper and Mijello Mission Gold watercolors to paint the brushstroke background. Then I stamped and heat embossed the large greeting from Mama Elephant’s Oh Happy Day stamp set. I also stamped some of the small flowers and leaves from the stamp set.

For some contrast, I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the same stamp set on Black Onyx cardstock and adhered the narrow strip to the card front.

For a matching envelope, I created one from scratch using 90 lb. watercolor paper using a punch board, and painted a stark black brushstroke area for the address. I then added the recipient’s name and address using white ink and an oblique pen holder.
